New Year, New Branding!
Rolling Shutter Fans, you have been so loyal and great to me! I have been at this for less than a year and I really want to make a name for myself. With that comes new branding. I have decided to change my name to Roots Foto. I love the idea behind roots as every session I have involves family and the "roots" of relationships that will continue to build those families. I also am in love with nature and all the natural resources our Lord has provided for us. My photography is all about natural lighting and even getting down and dirty with nature. ( I am usually the one getting dirty) :) I have started my quest of creating a new logo and have a few options to choose from. I am going to narrow it down to three and then have you all vote on those three and I will then reveal the winning logo and branding at the start of the new year. My presentation will be different and you guessed it "very natural"! Thank you again and stay tuned, I need your input!

Greer Newborn Photo Session - Bakersfield Newborn Photographer
I walk into this CLEAN home with a mother that is so put together and think to myself, I must have walked into the wrong house! Never, since having children have I had a clean house and looked put together all in the same day and Savannah has managed to do it with a newborn. I need to take some domestic diva classes from this girl. She has a house of handsome men/boys and is going to have her hands full with the ladies once they get older. In the meantime let them melt your heart...Enjoy!
Bella - Mother/Daughter Wedding Dress - Bakersfield Children's Photographer
I recently took photos of my little Ella in my wedding dress and thought there would be lots of mom's out there that would love to have their little girl in their wedding dress. Serena came to me and told me that she had photos taken of Bella in her dress at 1.5 years old and wanted to do it again when she turned 5. She is 5 now and it was perfect timing. This little princess was so sweet and I loved that once she realized no one was looking at her bare back she just had fun with me. She is wearing her mom's dress and veil and her grandmas jewelry. Enjoy!
Smith/Woodward/Bishop Families - Bakersfield Family Photographer
Thanksgiving is definitely a time to reflect on what you are thankful for, even though that is often lost amongst the early holiday shopping and the large plates of food placed before you. This photo session will make you pause and reflect on what really is important and that is Family and the time that you spend with them. Who cares about that big screen TV you stood in line for three days prior to Thanksgiving or that doorbuster that you missed out on because really the store only has about 2 of each of those! I know this family will make you reflect on what you have to be thankful for! Enjoy!
More Devries Girls!! Bakersfield Family and Children Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing the Devries girls again and this time with the third grand baby. I love how much the older two LOVE their cousin. I am not sure she understands that the long and hard squeezes coming from her cousins are acts of LOVE but one day she will. In the meantime I LOVE IT! Enjoy!

Woodward Family Photos
I couldn't believe what I saw when I walked into the Woodward's home. First, of all there was such a calmness and let me tell you family pictures aren't always calm and not when you are trying to get 4 children and your self dressed (oh yeah, and your husband)! Second, I feel like I just did Beckett's newborn photos and there he was smiling and laughing and full of so much personality. Enjoy!
